St. Patrick’s Day is a large celebration for many of us, whether we are Irish or not. There’s no denying that this booze fueled holiday happens to be one of our favorites here at Bogue Sound Distillery. From pots of gold to green colored booze, there’s a little something for everyone. Regardless of how you choose to celebrate, you’ll need some cocktails to get you started. 

Here are three St. Patrick’s Day cocktails to help you spread the Irish cheer. 

Bombshell Gimlet

Course: Drinks

  • 2 oz Bombshell Gin
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/2 cup Light Agave Nectar
  • 1/2 cup Cold Water
  • 1 Cucumber 4 inch


  • Chop ½ cup worth of cucumber. Slice the remaining cucumber into thin slices for garnish. 
  • Add chopped cucumber, lime juice, water and agave nectar to a blender or food processor.
  • In a glass, add ice, ¼ cup of cucumber mixture and up to 2 oz. of Bombshell Gin. 
  • Enjoy! 

Luck of the Irish Jello Shots

Course: Drinks

  • 1 cup John AP Conoley Bourbon Whiskey
  • 2 pkg Unflavored Gelatin
  • 1/2 cup Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 drops Green Food Coloring


  • Add mint leaves and 1 tsp of sugar to a small dish. 
  • Muddle the leaves and sugar. 
  • Set aside. 
  • In a medium sauce pan, add water and gelatin powder; whisk to combine and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add ½ cup of sugar and the muddled mint leaves to the pan. Stir to combine. Cook the mixture over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, until hot and sugar and gelatin are dissolved.  
  • Once done, allow to cool for 15 minutes. 
  • Strain the mixture to remove mint leaves. Return to pan and add whiskey and green dye. 
  • Spray cooking spray onto silicone molds. 
  • Pour liquid into molds. 
  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours. 
  • Remove from molds.
  • Enjoy! 

Irish Sour Cocktail

  • 2 oz John AP Conoley Bourbon Whiskey
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup Simple Syrup
  • 1 drop Green Food Coloring
  • Lime Wedge garnish


  • Add ingredients to shaker.
  • Shake well. 
  • Add ice to glass. 
  • Strain mixture into glass. 
  • Garnish with lime. 
  • Enjoy!
